Settup
  1. Set up two baskets (or containers) with tape marking the relay start and finish.
  2. Create picture cards representing right/wrong choice

How to play
  1. Show the children picture cards representing right/wrong choices.
  2. Divide into two teams
  3. Explain the goal: run, pick a card, sort it into the “Right” or “Wrong” basket based on what Jesus teaches.
  4. Encourage cheering and teamwork.

Debrief
Debrief afterward: “Like Abigail, we can choose what’s right even when it’s tough!”.

CREATIVE SNACK

Material
  • Grapes/raisins
  • Crackers
  • Fig cookie (sweet treat)

Steps
  1. Give each child a little tray or plate with grapes/raisins, crackers, and a sweet treat (like a fig cookie).
  2. Say, “Abigail shared delicious food to make peace. We remember her kindness as we eat these snacks together.”

    Encourage sharing snacks with a friend.

OBJECT LESSON

Material
  • Backpack
  • Books labeled negative choices
  • Feathers

Steps
  • Bring a backpack and several labeled objects: books (for negative choices), feathers (for positive).
  • Let children help place “bad choice” books in the backpack, feeling its weight.
  • Take out each book and replace with a feather representing kindness, honesty, forgiveness, etc.

Lesson
Explain: “Right choices keep our hearts light; wrong choices weigh us down. Jesus helps us choose wisely!”.
Dear God, help us be brave and kind like Abigail, and trust you when hard decisions come. Guide us to make wise choices, and bless our families and friends.  In Jesus' name, amen.
Optional: Invite children to pray one short sentence each, if they wish.
