 ### The Story of Noah

In a world that had become very wicked, there lived a man named Noah. Noah was a good man who loved God and always tried to do what was right. But the people around him were not kind; they were mean and did not listen to God.

One day, God spoke to Noah and said, “Noah, I have seen that you are righteous. I am going to send a great flood to cleanse the earth because the people have turned away from me. I want you to build an ark, a big boat, to save yourself, your family, and two of every kind of animal.”

Noah listened carefully to God and began to work. He gathered wood and started building the ark. People in the village laughed at him and said, “Noah, why are you building a huge boat? There’s no water around here!” But Noah kept working because he trusted God.

After many years, the ark was finally finished. God told Noah to gather his family—his wife, his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives. Then, Noah brought two of every kind of animal into the ark—lions, tigers, elephants, birds, and even tiny bugs! They all came in pairs, just as God had commanded.
When everyone was safely inside, God closed the door of the ark. Then, it began to rain. It rained and rained for forty days and forty nights! The water rose higher and higher until it covered the mountains. But inside the ark, Noah and the animals
were safe and dry.

After the rain stopped, Noah waited patiently. He wanted to know if it was safe to leave the ark. So, he sent out a raven, but it didn’t return. Then, he sent out a dove. The dove flew around but couldn’t find a place to land, so it came back to Noah. After seven days, Noah sent the dove out again. This time, it returned with a fresh olive leaf in its beak! Noah knew that the waters were going down.

Finally, after a long time, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. God told Noah it was safe to leave the ark. When they stepped outside, Noah built an altar and thanked God for keeping them safe. As a sign of His promise never to flood the earth again, God placed a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Noah and his family were filled with joy, and they began to repopulate the earth, taking care of the animals and living according to God’s ways.
